Fueling Strategies

First some quick housekeeping:
I’m looking for anyone who does fitness activities beyond running, crossfit or triathlons to be featured on my blog in December. What am I looking for? Anything that isn’t one of those 3, but the more unique/creative the better! Email me at crystalfun2race@gmail.com if you are interested!

Now for this week’s vlog topic:
Last week we talked about fuel packs… this week we are talking about fuel! How do you fuel yourself for working out? (You can discuss before, during, and post workout).

before
-water, water more water

during
-fruit rope
island boost
-water
-nuun

after
-ice cream
-coconut water
-recovery drink

  1. At the risk of sounding like an idiot, especially if I could have just google it…what is “crossfit”?

    • No worries 🙂 Crossfit is basically a strength and conditioning program that has spread like wildfire across the country. There are daily WODs (workout of the day) and there is a lot of camaraderie and competition. I’ve never done it, but my impression is that literally all you need is an old storage unit with some weights to setup a “studio.”
