Products I Love: The Stick

Have you heard of “the stick?” Unfortunately, I don’t think too many of you have, which is why I decided to write about this product. I recommend you check out their site here for more detailed information, pricing, etc.

This is a product my mom first discovered at a marathon expo more then 10 years ago. Since then she has gone on to own multiple sticks, bought them as gifts for people, and has literally introduced 100s of people to this product. What exactly is it and what is it for?

The stick is just what it sound like, a product that looks like a stick.

Now you may have seen similar products out there on the market, but I’m afraid those others have given this product a bad rap. This was designed in such a way that it actually DOES what it says it does and more. Basically, it was created as a form of tissue massage that you could do on yourself.

The stick allows you to perform basic maintenance on your muscles, by rolling the stick over various muscle groups in reps of 20-30. This is great to do daily to keep your body loose and ready to perform at their best. For example, IT issues are a common problem for people with knee pain. With daily use, the stick allows you to directly work on the muscles along the IT band, keeping them in the best shape possible.

What happens, however, if you have just finished running a marathon or recently injured yourself? The stick is great for problem areas as well. You can use the stick to relax muscles that are contracted by pushing a little harder and getting a deeper stretch. Now instead of waiting in long lines or paying top dollar to get a sports massage you can help yourself, simply by “sticking” yourself.

As I’ve mentioned, what really separates this product from the imitators out there is the research and development that has gone into it. Take this example of just one story I have heard on how the stick has literally changed someone’s life. A friend of mine had severe planter fasciitis issues. She had gone to see various doctors, podiatrists and even 2 foot surgeons. After trying every treatment under the sun, all agreed that surgery was her only option. Just 3 weeks before her scheduled surgery date, she learned about the stick and decided to give it a try. Not only did it temporarily relieve her foot pain, but it permanently solved her planter fasciitis and helped her avoid surgery. All this from using a stick just a couple minutes a day!

Another great feature of the stick is its ability to travel with you. There are different length options available, but even the original stick will fit in most carry-on luggage. All sticks are lightweight and really don’t take up a lot of space in your suitcase. The stick is easy to keep in your car, bedroom or wherever you think you may want to use it.

Basically what can I tell you besides find one to try out and you won’t look back. EVERY single person I have met that has tried one, now owns one and swears by it. Whether you have back, tricep, calf, foot, or any other muscle issues, this product is for you. I highly recommend the firm stick to any fellow cyclists out there, as I guarantee nothing works better on those bulging quads you all have!
